CIMTEC 2026 will be held in Perugia, splendid chief town of Umbria region, placed in the middle of Central Italy. The city is about 170 km from Rome and is placed in a strategic position to reach the most interesting historical and tourist places in Umbria, such as Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Todi, Spello, Gubbio, Montefalco, Trevi, Trasimeno Lake and several others.
CIMTEC 2026 includes the “16th International Ceramics Congress” (June 15-19, 2026) and the “10th Forum on New Materials” (June 21-24, 2026).

From Rome, take the A1 Motorway and go out at the Orte exit. Then take the E45 Motorway to the Perugia exit.
By train
From the train station located inside the airport of Fiumicino (station "Fiumicino Aeroporto"), you can take the “Leonardo express” (departures every 30 minutes) to the Rome Central Railway Station (Roma Termini station). From Roma Termini you find the trains to "Perugia" station (departures about every hour, duration about 3 hours).

A complimentary bus transfer service will be arranged on Monday June 15 and on Sunday June 21 from Fiumicino Rome Airport “Leonardo da Vinci” to Perugia, "Piazza dei Partigiani" (near city center). The departures are as follows: 10.30/11.00, 14.30/15.00, 17.30/18.00, 20.00/20.30, 22.30/23.00.

CIMTEC daily shuttle connections to and from the Congress Center
A complimentary shuttle service will be available for delegates to reach the Congress Center at the start of the Technical Sessions and to return back at the end of the Technical Sessions. The service will be available from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 and from Monday 22 to Wednesday 24. Departures and arrivals are from and to Piazza Partigiani (near the city center).

Fees include 22% VAT, general and secretariat costs, participation in the scientific sessions, lunch tickets, coffee tickets, conference material and complimentary participation in the Social Programme.
All registrations must be made online where you can find payment options (by credit card, bank transfer or on site). On site payments can be made also by cash.
Participants are encouraged to take advantage of the early fee, applicable only if both registration and payment are received by April 30. Please note that after June 14, only on site payment will be possible.

Poster Presentations
Guidelines for poster preparation can be found at POSTER PREPARATION. Authors are kindly requested to be present at their poster for discussion with attendees during the Poster Session. It is each author's responsibility to remove the poster immediately after the end of the session. The organisers do not assume any responsibility for posters left up after this time.
Attendance by at least one of the authors is requested for poster presentation.

CIMTEC organizers decided NOT to hold the copyright of the contributions presented at the whole CIMTEC 2026. Authors may submit their contribution to any journal or other media sources they find appropriate.
Late-news papers will be accepted for poster presentation, provided the following mandatory conditions be met:
- Only Poster submission from Presenting Authors who do not have oral or poster presentations already scheduled in the conference programme will be accepted.
- Only one “HOT POSTER” may be contributed by the same Presenting Author.
- Submission shall be accompanied by the payment of the registration fee.
- Submission deadline April 30, 2026.

The Conference Secretariat will confirm receipt of the Hot Poster and will supply the Presenting Author with proper information about Poster Presentation.

Registration and payment for optional tours must be made cash on site.
No special programme will be organized for companions. However they are allowed to take part in the Social Programme adn Optional Tours. Tickets may be purchased at the appropriate registration desk. Only cash payment is allowed.
Prepaid registration fees are refundable, minus a 10% administration fee, if written notification of the cancellation is received before June 1, 2026. No refund can be made for cancellations received after June 1, 2026. However delegate substitution can be accepted.
All travel, lodging and registration expenses will be the responsibility of the individual participants. Upon request, special invitation letters to be used for visa applications will be provided to the participant.
We recommend to start your visa application process in due advance. Those attendees who need an invitation letter for visa are suggested to contact CIMTEC Secretariat, congress@technagroup.it indicating the following information:

The weather in Perugia in June is usually fine with temperatures ranging from 20 to 30 °C during the day and 12 to 15 °C during the night. Clothing suitable for (early) summer is recommended.

The service will be active from June 16 to 19 for the Ceramics Congress and from June 22 to 24 for the Forum on New Materials. Time schedule will be available at each hotel.

CURRENCY, BANKING AND INSURANCE
Banks are generally open Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. Banks are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops.
